In this composition, Hearn explores the intersection of psychological depth and astronomical wonder. The vertical orientation emphasizes a sense of ascent, pulling the viewer’s gaze upward through layers of celestial imagery that suggest a mind unfolding in sleep. It is a study of scale, where the vastness of outer space becomes a metaphor for the limitless nature of human imagination.

By framing the cosmic expanse within a portrait format, the artist creates a personal connection to the infinite. The work avoids the coldness of deep space, instead offering a warm, introspective look at how we carry entire universes within ourselves. The arrangement of visual elements suggests a quiet, rhythmic pulse, mirroring the steady breath of a dreamer lost in a private, shimmering reality.
