In this portrait-oriented composition, Hearn explores the intersection of the infinite and the intimate. The central sphere acts as a vessel for light and texture, drawing the eye into a rhythmic arrangement of shapes that mimic the natural patterns found in deep space. By utilizing a vertical alignment, the artist emphasizes a sense of ascension and quiet contemplation, allowing the viewer to linger on the subtle gradients and edges that define the dreamlike environment.

The work avoids the clutter of traditional landscapes, opting instead for a focused study on geometry and atmosphere. The interplay between the spherical core and the surrounding space creates a tension that feels both expansive and grounded. Hearn’s approach invites a slow reading of the surface, where the cosmic subject matter is rendered with a tactile sensitivity that makes the ethereal feel remarkably present.
