In this engaging composition, Daly utilizes the natural fan of a peacock’s plumage as a structured map for counting. Each feather serves as a distinct visual anchor, inviting a tactile sense of discovery as the viewer moves from one numerical marker to the next. The vertical orientation emphasizes the bird’s proud stature, turning a simple lesson into a decorative focal point that anchors a room with color and purpose.

The artist avoids unnecessary clutter, focusing instead on the harmony between the animal’s friendly expression and the bold clarity of the digits. By grounding the educational elements in a cheerful character study, Daly ensures the piece functions as both a functional learning tool and a warm piece of wall art. The result is a balanced work where graphic simplicity meets a gentle, imaginative energy.
