In this piece, Solomoniuk focuses on the tactile and sensory details of a midsummer gathering. The vertical arrangement emphasizes the bounty of the table, drawing the eye through a rhythmic display of textures and shapes that suggest a slow, lingering afternoon. The artist uses a rich palette to ground the scene in a sense of place, making the atmosphere feel thick with heat and the scent of fresh ingredients.

By choosing a portrait orientation, the artist creates an intimate, focused perspective on the ritual of eating. The composition avoids unnecessary clutter, instead highlighting the essential elements of the meal to evoke a feeling of gratitude and presence. It is a study of how light interacts with the domestic sphere, turning a routine lunch into a vivid memory of summer.
