In this portrait-oriented map, Deificus utilizes the principles of graphic design to recontextualize the Colombian capital. By focusing on the essential outlines of the city’s architecture and terrain, the artist creates a visual shorthand for travel and place. The work relies on a restricted palette and sharp lines, allowing the viewer to navigate the familiar peaks and structures of Bogota without the distraction of traditional cartographic detail.

The piece functions as both a geographic record and a digital study in form. Through a minimal lens, the dense urban environment is translated into a balanced arrangement of shapes that emphasizes the unique verticality of the skyline. It is a quiet, methodical exploration of how we perceive the cities we inhabit or visit, turning a complex metropolis into a legible, graphic icon.
