Art Analysis
Overlapping translucent cloud shapes
This abstract design is built from layers of light blue, turquoise, and lavender forms that drift across a pale background. The viewer's eye is drawn to the corners, where large, cloud-like shapes with thin white outlines anchor the composition. In the lower center, the tones become more saturated, creating a deeper blue area that sits beneath the lighter, more transparent layers. Thin lines and circular marks are scattered throughout, adding detail to the broader washes of color.
Small circles of different sizes appear in clusters, particularly in the top and bottom right sections. These marks overlap with the larger forms, creating a sense of depth through their varying transparency. The arrangement uses white outlines to define the edges of the soft shapes, making them stand out against the cooler background tones. Every part of the image is filled with these intersecting elements, leaving no part of the surface plain.
This work is part of a series that includes Alcohol Ink & Paint No. 15, continuing the artist's focus on bright colors and modern shapes.
