Stacked bands and floating rings
This vertical image is built on a background of horizontal stripes. The top half of the composition uses shades of gray and white, while the bottom half shifts into bright yellow and white. These bands have a mottled, textured look rather than solid flat color. Overlapping this background is a cluster of translucent circles and irregular rings that sit mainly in the center and toward the right side. Some of these shapes are yellow and others are gray, allowing the colors from the stripes behind them to show through.
Small, solid circles are scattered near the larger rings, resembling bubbles. These smaller elements break up the straight lines of the background. The rings vary in thickness, with some appearing as thin outlines and others as broader, softer shapes. Because the rings overlap, they create new shades where the yellow and gray tones meet over the white stripes. This piece continues the artist's focus on graphic art using these specific trend colors.
This work belongs to a larger series of numbered abstract paintings. While some pieces in the collection focus on themes like chaos or togetherness, this specific entry shares its color scheme with Abstract Painting No. 52.
