In this work, Ristova explores the intersection of negative space and solid form through a series of interlocking, rounded shapes. The vertical orientation emphasizes a sense of growth, guiding the eye upward through a layered arrangement that feels both grounded and buoyant. By stripping away decorative detail, the artist focuses on the raw harmony of the composition, allowing the subtle shifts in contour to dictate the energy of the frame.

The palette remains restrained, leaning into the organic origins of the subject matter. Each shape appears to lean into the next, creating a structural intimacy that mimics the way stones settle or leaves overlap. There is a deliberate slowness to the piece, inviting a close study of how simple lines can evoke the complexity of living systems without relying on literal representation.
