Nordic Print Studio

Raluca Mateescu is a self-taught illustrator and surface pattern designer working from her studio in Bucharest, Romania. Under the name Nordic Print Studio, she builds compositions by blending digital art, photography, and hand-drawn sketches. Her creative process is fueled by simple, warm inspirations, including a personal fondness for cinnamon and orange marmalade. Her practice focuses on minimalist and whimsical arrangements that draw heavily from Scandinavian folk traditions and mid-century modern design. By combining botanical motifs with symmetrical patterns, she creates work intended to spark a sense of joy and wonder through approachable, graphic storytelling.
