Born in Uzbekistan in 1970 to a family of Korean heritage, she developed her technical foundation at the Republican Art College in Tashkent. Since relocating to the United Kingdom in 2000, she has established a significant presence in the East Sussex art community as a co-founder of the Roche Gallery and a member of the Rye Society of Artists.
