Sophie, the illustrator behind JUNEFIGS, works from her home studio in Sydney’s Inner West. Her practice emerged in 2016 during a two-year break from her Fine Art and Graphic Design studies, a period she used to refine her technical approach and share her progress through digital spaces. Currently balancing freelance projects with her university studies, Sophie draws inspiration from vintage playboy aesthetics and black and white tattoo culture. Her work reflects a personal ritual of music and natural wine, capturing a specific energy she aims to eventually bring to Austin upon graduation.

Visual voice

JUNEFIGS specializes in fine line illustrations that bridge the gap between graphic design and traditional fine art. Her aesthetic is defined by high-contrast black and white compositions, influenced by vintage editorial imagery and the precise linework of tattoo design.
