Raquel Colachagua is a Lima-based artist who transitioned from a career in psychology to full-time art after formal training at the Centro Cultural de Bellas Artes and Toulouse Lautrec. Her practice is rooted in the conviction that geometry serves as a universal language, capable of delivering a positive message within a violent society. Drawing influence from the work of Wassily Kandinsky and James Turrell, Colachagua utilizes a minimalist approach to abstraction. Her work has been exhibited across the USA, Europe, and Asia, including a 2023 feature in Venice. Beyond her studio practice, she has served as a juror for international exhibition calls in New York City.
