Ollie Davis is a graduate of the University of Worcester’s school of art, holding a degree in Illustration. Currently preparing for a Master’s program, Davis maintains a constant creative practice involving drawing, etching, and printing. This dedication to the craft is driven by a focus on refining natural sketching abilities and developing a distinct visual language through continuous learning and experimentation. While linocut prints are a central medium for their bold and immediate impact, Davis also works extensively with ink. More recently, the artist has integrated digital tools to manipulate artwork, using Photoshop and Illustrator to apply real-life textures and digital collage. These techniques allow for the creation of layered images that expand upon what is achievable on paper alone.

Visual voice

The work is defined by the bold, direct lines of linocut printing and the intricate detail of ink drawing. These traditional methods are often layered with digital collage and organic textures to create a multi-dimensional aesthetic.
