Olha Darchuk is a Ukrainian Impressionist painter who brings a rich academic background to her vibrant oil compositions. A 1999 graduate of the faculty of artistic graphics at Krivoy Rog Pedagogical University, she has spent decades refining a practice that balances her roles as a professional educator and a dedicated studio artist. Her experience managing galleries in Kyiv and co-founding the "Planet of Happiness" art club informs her deep understanding of the physical and emotional resonance of color. Working primarily with the Alla Prima technique, Darchuk uses a palette knife to build thick, expressive layers of oil paint. Her work focuses on the natural world and urban scenes, capturing the light of floral arrangements and city streets with immediate, tactile energy. Since participating in the "ART KYIV" exhibition in 2011, her pieces have moved into private collections across Ukraine, Europe, and America.

Visual voice

Darchuk’s aesthetic is defined by the heavy texture of palette knife applications and the immediacy of the Alla Prima method. Her work features saturated floral displays and rhythmic urban landscapes that emphasize the physical presence of oil paint on the canvas.
