Pink bands and black loops
A central block of black shapes sits against a plain white background. These curved, interlocking lines form a dense pattern that runs from the top to the bottom of the middle section. Four horizontal pink rectangles stretch across the width of this central pattern. Because the black shapes are placed over both the pink bands and the white gaps between them, the image appears to have several distinct layers.
The salmon pink rectangles vary in height, creating an uneven rhythm behind the dark foreground. The black shapes themselves are solid and smooth, twisting into a maze-like structure without any straight edges. The viewer's eye follows these loops as they weave through the colored bars. This specific arrangement fits into the artist's pop art style by using a limited set of high-contrast colors and simple, bold forms.
This piece is part of a larger series that includes titles like Funky Seventies and Underwater. While other works in the collection use different color compositions, they all share the same focus on flowing, surreal movements and rhythmic shapes.
