About Kasi

Every sale pays Kasi directly.A meaningful share of each purchase goes to the artist.

Kasi Minami is the pseudonym of Kazuya Maekawa, an Osaka-based visual artist and graphic designer. With a professional background spanning several years in the game industry, Maekawa brings technical precision to digital illustration, character design, and iconography. Their practice is rooted in the versatile use of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, bridging the gap between commercial production and personal expression. The artist’s portfolio spans a wide range of mediums, from structured logos to expressive abstract fine art and oil paintings. This duality allows for a collection that explores both the rigid requirements of game assets and the fluid, emotive nature of works like "Blind." Based in Japan, Minami continues to develop a visual language that balances functional design with fine art exploration.

Visual voice

Minami’s work oscillates between the sharp, vector-based clarity of character design and the textured depth of abstract oil painting. Their aesthetic often features a blend of digital precision and traditional fine art techniques, resulting in compositions that feel both deliberate and experimental.
