Jada Fitch

Jada Fitch is a Maine-based illustrator who brings the North American wilderness to life through scientific precision. A graduate of the Maine College of Art, she draws inspiration from her upbringing in Sebago to create detailed portrayals of native bird species and their ecosystems. Her work serves as a bridge between art and education, appearing on interpretive panels at nature sites like Scarborough Marsh and within the pages of children’s book series such as Wildlife on the Move. Beyond traditional illustration, Fitch is recognized for her "Home Tweet Home" project, where she constructs miniature, decorated window bird feeders. This blend of craft and ornithology has led to commissions for major conservation organizations, including the National Audubon Society and the American Bird Conservancy. Her practice remains rooted in the close observation of the natural world, capturing the specific textures and behaviors of wildlife.
