Jacqueline Maldonado

Jacqueline Maldonado is a New York-based watercolorist and surface pattern designer whose practice bridges traditional painting and digital mixed media. After studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology and earning a BA in Visual Art from Empire State College, she developed a signature approach defined by vibrant, candy-colored palettes. Her work often translates the fluid nature of watercolors into intricate patterns and rhythmic compositions. Maldonado’s work explores what she calls "emotional landscapes," using repetition and nature-inspired forms to process personal experiences of memory, joy, and loss. Her professional reach includes extensive commercial licensing and a 2022 solo exhibition, The Audacity of Self-Love, which highlighted her focus on internal reflection and expressive color.
