Debra Cox is Nostalgic Perspective photography and a vintage inspired fine art photographer from Fareham, UK, who creates images with emotion, or feeling - photography that tells a story, rather than creating a perfect sterile image. My photography is about capturing mostly passive images of nature, floral and still life - the every day and simple things in life, and cultural and architectural shots when travelling. I am inspired by nostalgia which adds a timeless and vintage aesthetic and therefore have taken advantage by exploring the endless creative techniques with the likes of my vintage film cameras, lensbabies, Lightroom and Photoshop, thanks to the digital revolution. My photography occasionally features a lo-fi technique known as TtV (through the viewfinder) which has a beautiful soft aesthetic with ghosting, dust, scratches and lens flare, and is full of vintage charm.
