Cathy Earle is a Canadian artist whose practice is rooted in a disciplined approach to colour. After completing her studies at Lambton College and the Ontario College of Art, she developed a signature method of layering watercolours mixed solely from a limited palette of primary pigments. This technical process results in highly saturated compositions that capture the intense clarity and depth of her subjects. An elected member of the Ontario Society of Artists and the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour, Earle has earned twelve Exhibition Assistance Grants from the Ontario Arts Council.
