Baptiste Vandaele is a French illustrator and designer working from his studio in Paris. Since graduating from the Fine Arts School of Nancy in 2012, he has developed a practice centered on intricate pattern design and ornamental illustration. His work moves across diverse surfaces, appearing on textiles, tiles, stoneware ceramics, and large-scale interior installations. He is widely recognized for his extensive collaboration with the hotel brand Mama Shelter, for which he has produced more than 50 unique designs for floors and walls in properties worldwide. From solo exhibitions during Paris Design Week to international symposiums, Vandaele applies a maximalist lens to everyday environments through detailed hand-drawn motifs and repetitive forms.
