Takayuki Maejima, the Tokyo-born founder of Asobōze, brings a global perspective to his work after living in Hong Kong and Milan. Since settling in Barcelona in 2008, he has dedicated himself to capturing the city’s daily life, documenting various corners of the streets every day for four years. His practice moves between physical and digital mediums, utilizing markers and pencils for quick, observational sketches on paper. Maejima also explores vector art on the iPad, creating compositions that find inspiration in the organic forms of nature and the presence of people.

Asobōze balances the immediacy of hand-drawn marker sketches with the precision of digital vector art. His work centers on the architecture of Barcelona, the organic shapes of nature, and the movement of people.
