Christina Ejercito, working under the name Acrylix-E, is a self-taught artist based in Wels, Austria. Her practice emerged from a background in healthcare, where witnessing the daily existential struggles and the nature of suffering in others sparked a deep, self-guided exploration of the human psyche. Since she began painting in November 2024, her work has served as a vital outlet for expressing the internal fragments of identity that often remain unspoken. Her compositions focus on the raw emotional textures of trauma, absurdism, and nihilism. Drawing from the literary and psychological insights of figures like Viktor Frankl and Franz Kafka, she has recently moved toward sculptural surfaces and mixed media portraiture to better represent the fractured nature of the self.
